CLM-0039 · Content

The First Knowledge Lecture covers the four elements and their qualities, the twelve signs of the zodiac by triplicity, the seven planets of the ancients and the lunar nodes, the Hebrew alphabet and the ten Sephiroth. It is followed by the Lesser Ritual of the Pentagram: with a steel dagger the student makes the Qabalistic Cross (Ateh, Malkuth, ve-Geburah, ve-Gedulah, le-Olam, Amen), draws a pentagram in each quarter while vibrating YHVH, Adonai, Eheieh and Agla, and calls on Raphael, Gabriel, Michael and Auriel.

Supporting sources

Contradicting sources: none recorded.

Checked against the Internet Archive text of Volume One (1937) on 2026-11-04. Regardie places the pentagram ritual immediately after the First Knowledge Lecture; the banishing form reverses the direction of the pentagrams.
